Course Details

The level 2 course is the natural progression from the 1 star course within the AIDA educational ladder. You must have completed the level 1, or equivalent to enroll in this course.

Cost: £250

includes Dive site costs, boat use is additional on the day £35-£45 tide and weather dependant, all equipment provided.

Day one will be spent shadowing level 1 students as you get back in to the swing of things.
During day 2, we’ll venture into deeper dives, reaching a maximum of 20 meters.
we maximise the course learning on this course dedicated to technique, if your looking for some sea time we advise you look at our Aida 2 extended course this will then give you a third day where we can explore fascinating Cornish marine life during our dives. Seals, lobsters, dolphins, Spider crabs and a plethora of seaweeds, caves and underwater swimming throughs.

You will learn, among others:

Deep diving up to 20m
Breath-hold times of over 2 minutes
Dynamic apnea distances of over 40m
Rescue from depth
More advanced buddy skills
Line diving with lanyards

  I did the Aida 1 and 2 two day course with Oli as an instructor and thought it was excellent. He's a brilliantly engaging instructor who is clearly a world expert. He focusses massively on safety which, in fact, is a set of skills that allow you to dive better: more efficiently and for longer. It was so comprehensive that I feel confident that I can dive proficiently at depth and I was a complete beginner when I started. The environment at the pool is amazing with Sauna and hot tub and a great cozy classroom. The kit was top class too. I'm looking forward to applying the skills to spearfishing and foraging in the future and will certainly return to Delphy for more practice and courses.

  Enjoyed a really lovely spa package recently, had tranquil swims in the clear water, in scenic and natual surroundings.
Then 15 mins in the swirling hot tub and a brief time in the sauna (with a view!). Perfect!
A hot shower followed, also a hot chocolate made by the very welcoming, informative Oliver.

Will be back at some point I'm sure to this unusual venue.

  Oil’s knowledge and delivery of the AIDA2 course is extraordinary. With grim weather conditions and totally inexperienced students, he has given us the confidence, experience and information needed to spearfish safely and well! We focused on challenging freediving techniques to support our time hunting fish. He’s a lovely guy to be around too!

  Fantastic experience, our group was initially down for the two day spearfishing course, however, the weather wasn’t playing ball. So instead we changed the course to the freediving course. This actually worked out much better for us, giving us a much better baseline for spearfishing. By the end, we were going much deeper than we originally would have and I feel much more confident to get out in the water and catch some fish!

  Booked the spa package, what a beautiful place to swim and relax. The water was crystal clear. The hot tub and sauna are both great and the hot chocolate  after was lovely. Wish I lived closer .
